We launched OCAD U CO with a mission to extend the 142 years’ experience and impact of OCAD University to new audiences in the public and private sectors.

We’re an executive training studio with a mission to help industry leaders and their teams use creative problem solving to drive innovation and change.

We’re located in a stunning new facility on Toronto’s waterfront where we facilitate creative problem-solving, research and training. Our approach is grounded in a rigorous and disciplined approach to the creative process: problem framing, user research, prototyping, and implementation.

We also specialize in strategic foresight, inclusive design, systems thinking, and approaches that humanize emerging technologies to increase adoption and de-risk innovation.

Why did we start OCAD U CO?

We’ve realized that in every sector, change is increasing in frequency and scale. As a result, the demand for creative problem solving is rapidly rising as traditional approaches have become ineffective. Organizations have told us that they’re facing pressure to better anticipate, understand and respond to complex changes in order to uncover bold innovation opportunities.

To help leaders and organizations face these challenges, OCAD U CO’s integration of creative methods with business practice has the goal of empowering teams to tackle bigger and bolder opportunities that go beyond the status quo.

Our aim is to equip today’s leaders with the insight and confidence to drive better innovation, foster growth and resilience, and move beyond incremental innovation large-scale transformation.

In a first for North America, we make the deep knowledge and capabilities of OCAD University available to industry leaders and their organizations.
