OMERS announces launch of OMERS Advantage through partnerships with LinkedIn, Indeed and Workopolis.

OMERS and OMERSDigital turned quite a few heads today when they announced OMERS Advantage, a new program that will show job hunters which positions are with OMERS employers and eligible for an OMERS pension. OMERS members know the value of a future focused pension plan, so OMERS Advantage promises to get people clicking. As an OMERS vice-president explained, “We don’t want members to think joining our family is just another piece of paperwork. We know OMERS is something special, and we hope they will to when they see our badge.”

OMERS Advantage will show an OMERS badge on verified job posting sites such as LinkedIn, Indeed and Workopolis and when job seekers click on the post, they will see information regarding the lifetime value of pensions members with similar positions receive. In addition, they will also see links to relevant information about retirement planning and who OMERS is.
Many Ontario employees believe the OMERS pension plan, and the secure future it promises, is the top perk of working for an OMERS employer, so the job posting sites believe this is just the first step in very promising partnership.
